The Beach Men Slated To Appear In Bangor This Summer

BANGOR, Maine — Concert-goers will be getting some good vibrations on the Bangor Waterfront in June. Bangor has secured one of the Beach Boys’ 50 U.S. dates during the iconic band’s coming 50th anniversary concert tour, according to Waterfront Concerts promoter Alex Gray. For the first time in more than 20 years, all of the original surviving members — Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine — of the Beach Boys will join longtime members David Marks, Bruce Johnston and Blondie Chaplin to perform live together on a worldwide tour featuring at least 100 dates and starting in New Orleans on April 27. The Queen City will host the kings of summer beach music and 1960s and ’70s culture for an 8 p.m. show on Friday, June 22, at the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion, Gray said. Tickets will go on sale at noon Friday, Feb. 24. (read more at the Bangor Daily News)
