Owl’s Head Fire Department’s Save The Basement Strategy Works Like A Charm

Owl's Head Maine FIre DepartmentOWLS HEAD, Maine — A swift-moving fire destroyed a landmark Owls Head business Sunday afternoon. Frankie’s Garage was leveled despite the efforts of firefighters from Owls Head and South Thomaston. Owls Head Fire Chief Frank Ross said the fire started on the end of the building that had a waste oil heater and the fire was out of control within 10 minutes of him arriving at the scene. The cause of the fire had not yet been established, he said. (read more at Bangor Daily News)
