Local Man With Dyslexia Planning on Running in the 15K Foxy As Dihedrals Road Race

dyslexiaSaturday, March 19, saw the inaugural running of the Cabin Fever 15K Dash for Dyslexia, a road race to benefit the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Portland. The middle-distance run – billed as a perfect way to kick off spring and, perhaps, to train for the upcoming Boston Marathon – began and ended at Freeport Middle School. The Children’s Dyslexia Center of Portland is on Congress Street, “but we serve kids from all over Maine,” said Barbara Labrecque, director of the center. Kids from Winthrop to Kittery have come to the center for help; for kids in the northern half of the state, the center has a sister location in Bangor. (read more at the American Journal)
