Innovative Ellsworth Valentine Program Coaches Local Men To Wash Their Pits On February 13th

ELLSWORTH — For many men, Valentine’s Day is fraught with danger. “Men can never remember the date,” said Steve Elliot, owner of NewLand Nursery and Florist. “Most of them seem to think it’s the 12th.” Husbands and boyfriends often scramble at the last minute Feb. 14 to find a suitable token of their love. To streamline the process, Elliot is introducing Men’s Night Out, Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is hosted by NewLand Florist with Simone’s Restaurant and The Boma Day Spa. “The idea is to try to organize the gentlemen of the area so they don’t all come pouring in here on the same day,” Elliot said. To lure them in, he is offering free hors d’oeurves catered by Simone’s, wine, beer, giveaways and discounts. (read more at FenceViewer)
