Fort Kent, Maine SearsFORT KENTĀ – On Oct. 12, Sears announced to Fort Kent Sears Home Town Store owner Alan Susee that his store has been recognized as the number one store in the state of Maine and also ranked 88th in the nation year to date. This is yet one more affirmation that the store in Fort Kent has made an amazing turnaround from when Susee took over operations in September of 2009. At that time, the store was struggling and had been left in a state of disrepair, according to Susee. He said in the last three years, the store has gone through an amazing transformation, surviving a sluggish economy, and the devastating fire in March all while completing a striking new layout and facelift.
