ellsworth business incubatorELLSWORTH — After the City Council voted last fall to purchase the former Community Health and Counseling Services building on Water Street for use as a business incubator, the city is now preparing the building to welcome its first tenants this spring. Micki Sumpter, economic development director for the city, said the first tenant has been recruited for the building and plans to have four employees on site. She said she cannot yet publicly identify the tenant, but should be able to in the near future. The goal of the incubator is to give new or emerging businesses a physical space in which to operate.
