Audience Members Grow Suspicious When Irish Band Shows Up Sober

irish bandCARTHAGE — New England Celtic Arts will host the award-winning Irish band RUNA at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The high-energy contemporary band will also perform on Thursday Nov. 15, at Unity College’s Center for the Performing Arts in Unity. RUNA draws on the diverse musical backgrounds of its band members and blends traditional and more recently composed Celtic material. The ensemble’s repertoire also features music from Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the United States. Making up the band are vocalist Shannon Lambert-Ryan of Philadelphia, Dublin-born guitarist Fionan de Barra, percussionist Cheryl Prashker of Canada, fiddler Tomoko Omura of Japan and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/dancer Dave Curley, a native of Galway.
