55 Firefighters From Wilton, Farmington, East Dixfield, Jay and Livermore Falls Manage To Save The Basement Of A Mobile Home And The Rims On The Car Outside It

Wilton Fire departmentWILTON — A dog is credited with waking the tenant of a late-model mobile home so she could escape a fire that destroyed the home and a vehicle in the early hours of Friday morning. Kelly Hall escaped but firefighters had not found her dog as of late Friday morning, said Wilton fire Chief Sonny Dunham. They are not sure if the dog got out or if it was still under the rubble. Hall was distraught and was taken by NorthStar ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital to be checked out. She was released at about 9 a.m., he said. (read more at Lewiston Sun Journal)
