Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Doesn’t Round Up 6,223 Doctors in Oxford County Drug Bust


Oxford County Drug BustSOUTH PARIS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announced arrests of 15 people they say were involved in what is likely Oxford County’s largest drug investigation ever. MDEA Director Roy McKinney said a team of over 20 officers arrested most of the subjects Tuesday at various locations around the county and elsewhere. McKinney said over-two-year investigation conducted county and state officials led to the discovery that the fifteen suspects were allegedly responsible for the importation of 17.8 pounds of heroin. According to McKinney, that heroin is equivalent to 80,000 doses of the drug and has a street value of approximately $3.2 million. (read more about the Oxford County drug bust, with video, at WCSH)
